Making Research Come to Life: Our Outreach Mission
The mission of the Center for Research on Violence Against Women is the advancement of science toward understanding and ultimately ending crimes of violence toward women. But it is as Albert Einstein said, “it is not enough that one should understand science, concern for man himself and his fate must always form the chief interest of all technical endeavors.”
Gifts to the research mission of the Center sustain our ability to translate research into the practice of criminal justice, health and mental health professionals who work daily on behalf of the nation’s women and children.
The following endowed initiatives are funded under the Outreach Mission
The "Liz Scholars" Programs was endowed through a generous gift from the Liz Claiborne Foundation
