The University of Kentucky and the University of Louisville jointly offer a single doctoral program in Social Work. The faculties at the two universities have designed a program that combines their respective strengths in order to offer the student a broad and seamless doctoral-level experience in and research capabilities across the field of modern Social Work. This is the only fully accredited social work doctoral program in the Commonwealth. Each year, approximately 10 students are admitted to the joint program at each university. The student may choose to matriculate at either university, depending on specific interests in Social Work or geographic preference. For further information, the interested student can review the extensive on-line information provided by the College of Social Work.
