Letter from the Dean
Dear Prospective Student:
The University of Kentucky offers advanced study in 90 program areas awarding doctoral degrees in 61 fields, master's degrees in 120 fields, and 5 specialist degrees. Currently, more than 5,800 graduate students per year are enrolled in these degree programs and other advanced study programs which are centrally administered by the Graduate School.
The Graduate School has played an important role at the University of Kentucky for more than almost 100 years - serving graduate students from admission through graduation, and ensuring that well-trained scientists, artists, teachers, and other professionals will help the Commonwealth flourish.
Graduate education at Kentucky has been a partnership among faculty, students, campus leaders, private donors and friends of the University. As we look to the future, we envision this partnership continuing to fulfill dreams and meet challenges.
Sincerely,
Jeannine Blackwell
Dean of the Graduate School
