Summer Graduate Funding

Are Graduate School tuition scholarships available during the summer sessions?

Students that are working as research assistants or graduate assistants for at least one full summer session will receive a scholarship for the out-of-state tuition for both summer sessions.

Full time assistantships (20 hours per week) will receive a full out-of-state tuition scholarship, while half time assistantships (10 hours per week) will have half of their out-of-state tuition covered.

In-state tuition scholarships are not available during the summer for research assistantships or graduate assistantships.

Other information:

Teaching Assistants, please refer to your academic department. Departments handle the summer teaching assistantships as the Graduate School does not cover any tuition for a teaching assistant during the summer semesters.

Fellowship students, please refer to your award letters for information regarding whether or not summer tuition is included.

Departments should submit the GSAS contract for all TAs/RAs/GAs for summer semesters. This is done on-line via the ForDGS site:
