Alumni Club Fellowship
2008-2009

Endowed by a gift from the Northern Kentucky UK Alumni Club, this fellowship
will support one full-time, new or currently enrolled degree-seeking graduate
student. Candidates must be residents of Northern Kentucky (defined as
residents of Boone, Campbell, Gallatin,
Grant, and Kenton
Counties) who are
considered in-state residents. The fellowship provides a $5,000 stipend and a
tuition scholarship for one semester. The student may select to receive the
fellowship in the fall term or the spring term.
CRITERIA
FOR ELIGIBILITY
- Candidates for the Northern Kentucky Alumni Fellowship must be
nominated by the program's director of graduate studies.
- Candidates may be enrolling full time for their first term of study
in the program in the 2008 Fall Semester, or may be currently enrolled
full-time graduate students.
- Candidates must have an undergraduate grade point average of 3.0 or
above.
- Candidates must have a graduate grade point average of 3.2 or above
on any previous graduate work.
- Candidates must be full-time graduate students in a master's or
doctoral program at the University
of Kentucky.
- New students applying to a program whose most recent degree is from
a college or university outside of the U.S.
are not eligible.
NOMINATION
PROCESS
In the following order, the nomination
packet must include:
- A completed fellowship nomination form specific to the Northern
Kentucky Alumni Club Fellowship;
- A letter of nomination from the program's director of graduate
studies;
- Photocopies of transcripts from all schools attended, both
undergraduate and graduate;
- Photocopy of official GRE or GMAT scores;
- Letters of recommendation from two academic or professional
references;
- Candidate's one-page statement concerning ties to Northern
Kentucky and academic aspirations.

DATE FOR NOMINATIONS
Nominations with all appropriate documentation (four complete sets) must reach the
Graduate School Funding Office, 203 Gillis Building, no later than Monday, February 4, 2008.
