Lexmark Fellowships
2009-2010

Endowed by the Lexmark Corporation, the Lexmark Graduate Fellowship is a $15,000 award designed to assist students who are pursuing graduate degrees in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science. Preference shall be given to minorities and females so long as they remain disproportionately represented in the above disciplines. The fellowship carries a tuition scholarship for fall and spring and student health insurance.

CRITERIA FOR ELIGIBILITY

NOMINATION PROCESS

In the following order, the nomination packet must include five complete sets of:

  1. A completed fellowship nomination form specific to the Lexmark Fellowship;
  2. Letter of nomination from the director of graduate studies;
  3. Two additional letters of recommendation from UK professors;
  4. Photocopies of transcripts from all schools attended, both undergraduate and graduate;
  5. Curriculum vitae.
  6. Photocopy of official GRE scores.

SELECTION PROCESS

Fellowship recipients will be determined by a faculty panel, in consultation with the dean of the Graduate School.

DUE DATE FOR NOMINATIONS

Nominations with all appropriate documentation (five completed sets) must reach the Graduate School Funding Office, 203 Gillis Building, no later than Monday, February 2, 2009.
