Donald Colliver: “I can summarize in that I’m starting my 30th year of teaching, I’ve had more teachable moments in this in this project than in the 29 years prior—combined. It’s amazing how you can talk about various things using Powerpoints or describing things in equations and working through homework problems, but at eleven o’clock at night or one o’clock in the morning when the student is not able to get things to work correctly, you can actually go back to some of the basic principles that you’ve talked about in the classroom and say, ‘Now this is what’s happening, how did you solve it on paper or how did you solve it using the computer? Let’s talk about how we solve it in the field.’”
