Intro to Women's Health Research
Dear Visitor,
The University of Kentucky has a rich and vibrant history in education, clinical care, research, and training in the field of women’s health. This focus began in 1980 with an informal colloquium, the Reproductive Forum, to increase collaborative efforts in research, teaching and training in the reproductive sciences and women’s health. In the past 25 years, the number of interactive, interdisciplinary faculty associated with programs focused on women’s health has steadily increased, and a number of these programs have achieved national prominence. As the directors of these programs, we are extremely excited about sharing with you information on the background, the successes and some of the ongoing studies in women’s health. We appreciate the efforts of Executive Vice President for Research Wendy Baldwin and Odyssey in bringing to life the people, the programs and the stories behind these exciting venues for women’s healthcare, education and research as they impact the UK campus, the region and the people of Kentucky.
