What you see is what you get – successful recruitment depends upon preparedness, and effective communication skills, appropriate to the study population. A positive interaction is determined by the patient and the friends and/or family members sitting (or standing) in front of you. Come prepared. Read the patient’s chart. Read the room. And then, after all is said and done, don’t forget those “hidden talents”.
