The Forest Health Research and Education Center presents: Forests of the Future.

Can we bring back tree species lost to invasive insects and diseases? Our scientists think so! Researchers are working to restore native chestnut, ash, hemlock, elm and other species. In this seminar, hear updates from scientists across the country representing various tree restoration projects including: The American Chestnut Foundation, The US Forest Service and Forest Restoration Alliance.  This free, public event includes refreshments at 6 PM followed by the seminar at 7 PM. Additional partners include NSF, TreeSnap, The Urban Forest Initiative and TFISE.
