Why Do We Study Nonhuman Primates, and How is This Research Regulated? (FASEB Webinar)
For decades, research with nonhuman primates has advanced our understanding of various medical diseases and disorders, as well as our general knowledge about how the human body functions. At all stages of the scientific pipeline, research with nonhuman primates is tightly regulated. Presenters will highlight the importance of nonhuman primates as an animal model, the breakthroughs its research has afforded, and the current policies that are in place to ensure animal welfare and safety.
