CTOP is educating and empowering UK undergrads, from Kentucky’s Appalachian counties, through hands-on cancer research, clinical observation and shadowing, classroom and workshop learning, and community outreach in the participants’ own towns and neighborhoods.

Sixteen UK undergraduate researchers presented their research at the 17th annual Posters-at-the-Capitol in Frankfort on Feb. 8. Each had a chance to share their research with UK President Eli Capilouto as well as several state legislators.

Case Western Reserve and UK's SCoBIRC were able to show the existence of a parallel neural network that could potentially restore diaphragm function after spinal cord injury. Perhaps more amazing is that this research is credited to a group of young scientists.

The UK Office of Undergraduate Research has created a Summer Research Information Session to answer any questions that current freshmen, sophomores and juniors might have regarding undergraduate research programs, especially questions regarding financial support.

UK’s Office of Undergraduate Research recently announced the student winners of the 53rd annual Oswald Research and Creativity Competition.

This year’s Oswald Research and Creativity Competition was the 53rd annual student competition.

The 2018 National Conference on Undergraduate Research is scheduled April 4-7, 2018. However, the deadline for submissions is Dec. 5.

The Lee T. Todd Jr. Student Innovation Award will provide undergraduate student entrepreneurs with an opportunity to develop their ideas alongside UK Center for Applied Energy Research scientists and engineers in a collaborative environment.

"UK at the Half" airs during halftime of each UK football and basketball game broadcast and features the people, programs, research, health care and service that combine to make UK the university for Kentucky.

With funding from Kentucky NSF EPSCoR, ERTL’s mission is to help students through personalized, hands-on training and access to state-of-the-art laboratory equipment.
