The Kentucky Network for Innovation and Commercialization (KYNETIC) has selected nine applicants from its Cycle 6 to submit full proposals to the KYNETIC External Review Board in October.

KYNETIC is a National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded Research Evaluation and Commercialization Hub (REACH) and part of the national NIH Proof-of-Concept Network. KYNETIC offers entrepreneurial education and proof-of-concept/product development grants to accelerate the translation of academic innovations into biomedical products by investigators throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky.   

The KYNETIC Internal Advisory Committee invited the following applicants to submit full proposals:

• Edith Glazer, University of Kentucky
• Adam Isacoff, University of Louisville
• Andrew Long, Northern Kentucky University
• Christina Ralph-Nearman, University of Louisville
• Qingjun Wang, University of Kentucky
• David Yurek, University of Kentucky
• Ajmal Zemmar, University of Louisville

Finalists advance to review by an external review board of industry leaders and subject matter experts, which then makes award recommendations to the NIH for final approval.
