Cameron Luker

  • Urban Forest Initiative Intern

Cameron Luker is a junior studying Natural Resource & Environmental Science and Agricultural Economics. He grew up in Louisville, Kentucky and graduated from St. Xavier High School. He can’t distinctly remember what got him interested in the environment as a child but does remember watching an excessive amount of Animal Planet and checking out all the books about nature from his elementary school library. Once Cameron joined the UK community, he became involved in the Student Sustainability Council and now serves as director of development. He is also the sustainability coordinator for the Student Government Association and a student representative to the Presidential Sustainability Advisory Council. As the Urban Forest Initiative intern, Cameron helps UFI organize community events, educational programming, as well as outreach through social media and visual design. After Cameron graduates he plans to attend graduate school and find a job in land management. His dream job is to be the director of the National Park Service or the US Forest Service.
