Cover Story

Not Dying for Their Art
UK art professors Gerald Ferstman and Ross Zirkle are creating new methods and chemical alternatives to the more than 100 toxic substances used by traditional printmakers.

The Odyssey cover features "Moon Stream" by Shelley Penn Agee, a recent UK graduate who was accepted into the California College of Arts and Crafts. The white spots are traces of the salt used in the printmaking process.
