Gary holds a Registered Laboratory Animal Technician certification from the American Association for Laboratory Animal Science (AALAS) and is a member of the National and Kentucky Branch AALAS. After earning a BA in Biology at Emory & Henry College, he has been a part of UK Research, working in the Division of Laboratory Animal Resources' Core Facilities as well as laboratories in the departments of Anatomy and Neurobiology, Neurology, Veterinary Science, and Ophthalmology. An interest in building computer systems and the field of information technology in general led to additional study and a degree in Computer & Information Technologies and an IBM badge in Cybersecurity Fundamentals.
