Carrie Oser, PhD

Dr. Carrie B. Oser is Endowed DiSilvestro Professor and Associate Chair in the Department of Sociology, Associate Director of the Center for Health Equity Transformation (CHET), Associate Director of Education and Mentoring in the Office of the Vice President for Research’s Substance Use Priority Research Area (SUPRA), and a faculty member in the Center on Drug & Alcohol Research (CDAR) at the University of Kentucky. Her research interests include addiction health services, health disparities/equity, HIV interventions, social networks, and implementation science. Dr. Oser has been continuously funded by the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) as a PI for the past 13 years. She has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles and received numerous awards for her mentorship of more than 50 graduate students and junior faculty.
