CITI RCR Course Information

I completed the CITI RCR training at my former institution. Can I receive credit for the RCR course at UK?

The training must have been taken within the last 12 months and must contain the same modules as the UK CITI RCR (Basic stage). For approval, send the "Completion Report" to RCR@uky.edu.

    My Courses
  2. Scroll to "Active Courses":
    Active Courses
  3. Find the RCR course:

  4. Click the button to continue:

You will be able to start at either the next module or, if you did not complete a module and need to take the quiz, at the module that you were viewing previously.

I was recently notified that I need to complete the CITI Human Subjects Research course. Is this the same as the RCR course?

The CITI Human Subjects Protection (HSP) courses are distinct courses and required of all investigators and key personnel who participate in the design, conduct, and/or reporting of human subjects research. While some of the material is similar to the CITI RCR course, it does not replace the requirement to take the CITI RCR course. If you have received notice from the Office of Research Integrity or the Principal Investigator/Study Coordinator that you need to complete the CITI Human Subjects Protection course, you will need to complete both the HSP and RCR courses.

I was recently notified that I need to complete the CITI Good Clinical Practices (GCP) course. Is this the same thing as the RCR course? Do I have to do both?

The CITI Good Clinical Practice (GCP) courses are distinct courses and may be required by sponsors or funding agencies. While some of the material is similar to the CITI RCR course, it does not replace the requirement to take the CITI RCR course. If you have received notice from a sponsor or funding agency that you need to complete a CITI Good Clinical Practice (GCP) course, you will need to complete both courses. Formal GCP training for clinical investigators is not currently required by the university.
