Spinning Disk Confocal Microscope Demonstration

We are delighted to announce that our LMC will be hosting the demo of the spinning disk confocal microscopes from Olympus and Nikon next month. This technology is an alternative to traditional confocal laser scanning microscopes (CLSM). Unlike CLSM, which scans a single point at a time, the spinning disk confocal scans hundreds of points simultaneously, providing significantly faster imaging rates. It offers rapid image acquisition at frame rates greatly exceeding those of a laser scanning confocal, provides superior temporal resolution with high-speed imaging, and also improved Z-stack resolution for thick specimens, embryos, and organoids. In addition, it provides advanced live cell imaging capability including the ability to perform multiple particle tracking studies.

We would like to invite you to join us for this exciting demo event, where you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with these state-of -the-art instruments. By reserving one slot for each demo instrument, you can compare their features side by side. At our core, we value your feedback and believe that your input is crucial in helping us determine what works best for the UK research community.
