Developing a Workflow for Reverse-translational Medication Repurposing

Drug repurposing is the identification of novel indication(s) for existing medications. Health claims data provide a burgeoning resource to evaluate pharmacotherapies with repurposing potential. This talk will describe the development of a workflow using health claims data to implement reverse-translational medication repurposing. An exemplar evaluation of bupropion for stimulant use disorders will be presented.
