Presenter: Emmanual Smith

Emmanuel Smith is the New Ventures manager in the Office of Technology Commercialization (OTC) at the University of Kentucky(UK). His duties include working with entrepreneurs and startups in strategic planning, early-stage funding, project prioritization, and incorporating startup principles for success. He has a range of experience in the areas of entrepreneurship, economic development, leadership, project management, data analysis, and has been instrumental in the administration of multiple federal and state growth initiatives across the State of Kentucky and abroad. Throughout his career, he has been an advocate for change in entrepreneurship, business/workforce development, and innovation. He has received multiple national awards for his work and his vision of leadership, professional distinction, and impact. Emmanuel has a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from Kentucky State University and also continues to serve his country and state as a commissioned army officer in the KY Army National Guard.
