Kentucky business leaders, civic organizations, educators and other professionals are invited to attend the annual Inclusive Workforce Summit on Sept. 30 in Lexington.
Held on Zoom, the virtual seminars help students, faculty, and staff improve and expand their research skills and make more efficient use of library resources.
Everything is Science, Lexington’s annual city-wide festival is back with a new theme: The Elements of Life. Each event will feature demonstrations and presentations related to the five elements.
"This is a unique and special outreach event. The purpose is to showcase some of what is happening in the UK College of Agriculture, Food and Environment in terms of scientific discovery and service efforts relevant to the young horse.”
In the sessions for both the scientific and community audience, attendees will have the opportunity to hear clinicians and researchers from UK and other institutions share current findings, trends, and latest updates on dementia and aging disorders.
The lecture, titled “Deconstructing Space-Time,” will be held 7-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 29, on Zoom. Developments in theoretical physics over the past couple of decades have led to a set of ideas that "space" is not a fundamental notion, but arises as an emergent concept from more abstract entities.
