CHRISP Welcomes Associate Director

The UK Center for Health Services Research, Implementation Science and Policy (CHRISP) is excited to announce the appointment of Aaron J Kruse-Diehr, Ph.D., as our new Associate Director for Implementation Science. CHRISP is an interdisciplinary research center that seeks to serve as a nexus for health services, health policy, and implementation science researchers across campus, with a shared goal of identifying the most effective ways of organizing, financing and delivering high-quality health care.

Kruse-Diehr is an associate professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine in the UK College of Medicine. His research focuses on the novel application of implementation science theories, frameworks, and models to apply strategies that optimize healthcare delivery in clinical and community settings, primarily in the areas of cancer screenings and diabetes self-management. His work as a principal investigator and co-investigator has been funded by the National Cancer Institute, National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases, and Anthem.

In his role as Associate Director for Implementation Science, Kruse-Diehr will organize and lead activities related to implementation science training, consultation and facilitating collaborations. Immediate plans are to develop an implementation science affinity group and solicit input on what sorts of specific training, workshops or guest lectures UK researchers identify as most desired.
