Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for semester startup
  • All students will receive a Wellness Kit that contains the following items free of charge (no replenishment of these materials will be provided):
    • 2 reusable cloth masks with logo
    • 1 digital thermometer
    • 50-count pack of wipes
    • 1 bottle of hand sanitizer
    • Pouch for mask storage
    • Information inserts
  • Each member of the UK faculty and staff will be provided 2 reusable cloth masks with UK logo free of charge. Distribution is currently under way.
  • Departments may purchase additional reusable cloth masks from the UK Supply Center to be procured at departmental expense.
  • Disposable masks and hand sanitizer will be made available in designated high traffic areas across campus at no charge to departments. 
  • Departments shall purchase masks from the UK Supply Center to have on hand for visitors that do not have masks.
  • Vending machines across campus will have disposable masks and hand sanitizer available for purchase.
  • Each office suite/area and labs will be provided a Cleaning Kit containing the following items (replenishment of these items will be centrally funded by Facilities Management):
    • Disinfectant wipes
    • Hand sanitizer
    • Swiffer dusters
    • Gloves
    • Trash/Recycling bags
  • Plexiglas will be provided in classrooms by Facilities. Plexiglass in departmental spaces will be procured via departmental expense unless otherwise approved. Please contact the Purchasing Division for assistance.
  • Signage in public spaces will be provided by Facilities. Departments can download and print signage required in their own workspaces by going to the Facilities Management COVID-19 Resources page. If other signage or directional wayfinding materials or equipment are required, they will be procured at departmental expense unless otherwise approved.
  • Items other than those listed above shall be procured at departmental expense unless otherwise approved.
  • When ordering PPE materials, departments should first review the offerings available through the UK Supply Center. These materials have been ordered in bulk and will typically offer the best value. If the UK Supply Center does not have the item you require, please utilize normal purchasing procedures to meet your needs. Please contact the Purchasing Division if you have questions or require assistance.
  • When payment is processed for any item or service your department has acquired for purposes of responding to COVID-19, please remember to place the COVID-19 code in the appropriate field so the transaction can be easily identified and reviewed for possible reimbursement at a later date.
