Dr. Erhardt is an Assistant Professor of Earth and Environmental Sciences at the University of Kentucky, along with the director of the UK Stable Isotope Geochemistry Laboratory. She has interests in both current and ancient climate change. As a geochemist, she uses isotopes to trace precipitation patterns and carbon fluxes in ground and surface water. As a paleoceanographer, she studies how the earth has responded to past climate with an eye to future change.  She is eager to collaborate and develop projects with researchers across a wide range of disciplines, including biology, plant and soil science, agriculture, geology, and engineering.
