Destin George Bell graduated from UK in 2020 with a degree in marketing from the Gatton College of Business and Economics. He’s now the CEO and co-founder of the smartphone app Card.io, a gamified app turning any outdoor movement into a social competition.
Through UK's partnership with Gen.G, the idea is to create an innovative esports program that maximizes student success and the potential for career opportunities in what is now a global, multibillion-dollar industry.
The partnership will emphasize access to opportunities for all UK students and develop a research portfolio to probe issues such as repetitive injury motion and societal concerns around gaming and violence.
