Register now for 2025 Kentucky Water Resources Symposium

The 2025 Kentucky Water Resources Annual Symposium will be Friday, Sept. 12, at Central Bank Center in Lexington.
Hosted by the Kentucky Water Research Institute (KWRI), the day-long event will feature the latest in water research, practice and education. The symposium brings together researchers, personnel from local, state and federal agencies, students, volunteers, nonprofits and community members. It’s a chance for anyone working on water issues to share their work and connect with others who care about Kentucky’s waterways.
“The Kentucky Water Resources Symposium is the premier venue for networking and exchange of knowledge for water researchers and water professionals in Kentucky,” said Jason Unrine, Ph.D., KWRI director. “I am excited to report that we have had an overwhelming number of presentation submissions this year from across the Commonwealth, filling out what is sure to be an informative and inspiring program.”
The symposium will cover a wide range of topics impacting the health and well-being of Kentuckians and life-sustaining ecosystems.
Pete Cinotto, acting director of the U.S. Geological Survey’s Ohio-Kentucky-Indiana Water Science Center, will be this year’s keynote speaker.
KWRI will present its annual awards acknowledging outstanding contributions in the areas of water resources research, water resources practice and water quality.
KWRI was founded in 1964 as one of the 54 Water Resources Research Institutes established by the U.S. Congress through the Water Resources Research Act.
